In the last week of April 2021, federal prosecutors requested and succeeded in obtaining a search warrant to search Rudy Giuliani’s home and office. The action was taken to gather information for an ongoing investigation on Guiliani. The investigation is about an allegation that he did not abide by federal lobbying laws by not filling out a prelinary application.

Mr. Guilini was former President Trump’s personal attorney when the investigation began. The focus the investigation is on Giuliani’s interactions in the Ukraine in 2019. It started as the result of a phone call made by then President Trump to the leader of the Ukraine. Some of the Democrat political party in Congress decided to attempt to use the contents of the phone call as the basis to impeach the Republican President.

At that time and continuing even through today, Democrat Joe Biden’s family is under federal scrutiny for alleged wrongdoings revolving around using the Biden name for their personal financial gain. Presidential Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, is under investigation for a series of payments allegedly made from people and governments overseas into Biden’s bank account in amounts that total many millions of dollars.

Rudy Giuliani travelled to the Ukraine to gather more information that could possibly prove or disprove Biden’s possibly illegal actions. The search warrant was initiated to confiscate all of Giuliani’s computers and cell phones to search their contents. According to Rudy Giuliani, the agents removed seven pieces of his equipment. Giuliani has openly told the press, that he has discriminating evidence on a laptop allegedly owned by Biden’s son. Giuliani also reported that the search agents did not want to take that laptop, and he believes the investigation of him and the search warrant are politically motivated. Both investigations are underway.
