Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, impacted the world with a vengeance. Thousands of people lost their lives due to the virus and others became sick. The entire world experienced a new type of life they never knew. Coronavirus impacts still affect us months after the initial strike.

Celebrities Affected by COVID-19

Celebrities were not immune to this virus and it affected them just as well as the rest of the world. Some celebrities have lost loved ones due to the virus while others have tested positive and had to distance themselves from others for a period of up to six weeks. Celebrities impact our lives more than others because we want to keep up with their lives and what they do. It is comforting to know they, too, endure some of the same struggles as our own.

Celebrities and COVID-19: A Look at Positive Test Results

Neil Patrick Harris and his husband, David Burtka, were two of the first celebrities to reveal positive COVID-19 tests. Harris described the experience, which also affected the couple’s nine—year-old twins, as ‘not pleasant.” The family has since recovered from all signs and symptoms of the virus.

Fitness trainer Jillian Michaels urged people to stay out of gyms as she revealed her positive COVID-19 test on September 8. The trainer tested positive for COVID-19 several weeks prior to the news.

Dewayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and his family tested positive for coronavirus. Although they are now on the recovery, the star revealed that he and his wife and two daughters, age four and two, are doing better.

Antonio Banderas revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 on his 60th birthday. The actor said the virus did not bring him down as badly as it has others, but that he felt more tired than usual. Banderas beat the virus in August and is now living a new norm like the rest of the world.

No one is immune to COVID-19. Life will not be the same for quiet some time, even for celebrities. Practice social distancing stay home when possible and adhere to the CDC guidelines to reduce the chances that you will be affected.
